“OUR MISSION IS TO HELP THE SOUTH AFRICAN NATION IN CELEBRATING THE SPLENDOURS OF ITS LONG HISTORY AND RICH HERITAGE”

African Heritage Consultants CC was established in 2001 after the owner Dr. Udo Küsel retired as director of the National Cultural History Museum in Pretoria. He has a Masters Degree in Archaeology and a D.Phil in Cultural History as well as a post graduated diploma in Museum and Heritage Studies. He has more than forty years experience in the field of heritage development and management. He has also been a part time lecture in Heritage Management at the University of Pretoria for more than thirty year.

TRACK RECORD

• The development of some eighteen (18) provincial museums, three (3) National Institutions as well as the most modern museum facility in all Africa (total projects value R 100 000 000.00).
• Draft policy and legislation for museums.
• Our projects vary in value from R100 000 000.00 to R50 000.00.
• We have completed more than a 1000 cultural heritage resources impact assessments

Our clients include De Beers Mining Group, Eskom, Goldfields South Africa, Mintek, South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), the Private Sector as well as Government Departments on National, Provincial and Local levels.
